anam ċara, (Gaelic for soul friend), in Celtic tradition, was a person you could share your innermost self, your mind and your heart with, revealing the secret intimacies of your life. This is Lorcan sharing their anam ċara. A reconnection with their Irish lineage and Celtic Spiritualism pre colonisation and pre christianity re-birthing the ancient world into the present.
It is a collaboration with Lighting Designer: Frankie Clarke, Fabric artist: Sook Studios, Narrated by Lorcan’s Auntie Margaret, Accompanied by music from the Land of Rah, and Sinéad O’Connor, & a 30 metre piece of red fabric that shape shifts, into bloodlines, dieties, protection and even faerie wings.
It is a grief work and a space for remembering and healing.
It is a process portal, in the muck of the unveiling ~ truth telling.
